Where did you grow up? I grew up in Arlington Heights.

Tell us about your family! I am married to Joe, and we have two daughters—Emersyn (Emmy) and Brinley. Emmy will be 3 soon, and Brinley was born in December!

What is your current or previous career outside of FIT4MOM? I’m a Family and Consumer Sciences teacher, where I teach Culinary, Child Development, and Parenting. I also used to teach Fashion! On top of that, I coached cheerleading for about 15 years and have experience in personal training and group fitness.

What inspired you to become a FIT4MOM instructor or support team member? I joined FIT4MOM when Emersyn was a baby because I wanted to stay in shape and connect with other moms. Even though I knew how to work out on my own, I needed motivation and a sense of community. When I decided to step away from coaching cheerleading to focus on my family, a FIT4MOM instructor opportunity opened up. It felt like the perfect way to combine my passion for fitness with my love for parenting and building connections!

What’s your favorite class to teach (or take!) and why? Body Ignite! I love that it allows you to focus on getting stronger, take time for yourself, and bond with other moms in a supportive space.

What’s a class you haven’t taught (or taken!) yet but would love to? Stroller Barre! I grew up dancing and always enjoy taking that class.

What is your favorite part about being part of the FIT4MOM team Belonging to such a great community of moms!

How has FIT4MOM impacted your motherhood journey? FIT4MOM has given me strength—both physically and emotionally—and a sense of community. I love having a place where I can talk to other moms who truly understand what this stage of life is like. Plus, my kids get to make friends, too!

Tell us something about yourself that would surprise us! During my summers off, I’m always looking for fun side gigs, and for a couple of summers, I tried to get jobs as an extra on Chicago Fire and Chicago Med—and I did! You can actually spot me in two episodes of Chicago Fire!
