Aimee and Family

Aimee Bell: Owner/Instructor

I’m Aimee, the owner of FIT4MOM Chicago Northwest and also an instructor. FIT4MOM has been such an important part of my life for over a decade, and I feel so lucky to be able to share this village with other moms. What started as a way for me to meet other moms when my first baby was born has turned into a community that means the world to me. Through every season of motherhood, FIT4MOM has been my constant—a place where I’ve found strength, support, and lifelong friendships. I love getting to create a space where moms can move, connect, and feel supported. I truly believe in the power of this village, and I’m so grateful to be a part of it. Here’s a little more about me!

Where did you grow up? I have lived my entire life in the Chicago suburbs.

Tell us about your family! I have four amazing kids—Emilia, Colton, Keira, and Delilah—plus our sweet puppy, Bonnie.

What is your current or previous career outside of FIT4MOM? Prior to FIT4MOM, I was a professional dancer and taught dance classes for nearly 20 years.

What inspired you to start FIT4MOM Chicago Northwest? When Emilia was born in 2014, I was one of the first in my friend group to have a baby, so I started looking for something to help me meet other moms. I found FIT4MOM and jumped in headfirst!

What’s your favorite class to teach (or take!) and why? I absolutely love teaching Stroller Strides and Stroller Barre—hello, lifelong ballet training! I love the energy and getting to watch all the little ones grow. But honestly, I’ve taught every format, and there isn’t one I don’t love teaching (or taking)!

What’s a class you haven’t taught (or taken!) yet but would love to? I’ve taught (and love) them all!

What is your favorite part about FIT4MOM? The village, hands down! FIT4MOM has been such an important part of my life for so long, and I am honored to have created a space where moms can grow, thrive, and find a sense of belonging.

How has FIT4MOM impacted your motherhood journey? How hasn’t it?! FIT4MOM has been a part of my life since I was four months postpartum with my first baby. I suffered from pretty severe PPD/PPA, as well as hyperemesis gravidarum with all four of my pregnancies. I don’t know what I would have done without this village! FIT4MOM means everything to me and my kids.

Tell us something about yourself that would surprise us! I grew up an only child of parents who were also both only children. Growing up, I only planned to have one child—and now I have four!
